Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics: viscose, cotton lawn, cotton poplin, silk. Something with drape and not too much structure, that will gather easily into the frill.
Fabric requirements: The quantities have been calculated with the pattern cut in one direction. You may need less if you are not using a directional fabric.
View A with hem panel: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 220 - 300 cm (2.4 - 3.3 yd) // 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 170 - 240 cm (1.9 - 2.6 yd).
View A without hem panel: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 210 - 300 cm (2.3 - 3.3 yd) // 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 170 - 230 cm (1.9 - 2.5 yd).
View B with hem panel: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 250 - 370 cm (2.7 - 4.1 yd) // 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 190 - 280 cm (2.1 - 3.1 yd).
View B without hem panel: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 240 - 360 cm (2.6 - 3.9 yd) // 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 180 - 250 cm (2 - 2.7 yd).
Sizing: UK 6 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
The pattern is drafted for a height of 167 cm (5'6") with a B or D cup. Note this is not the same as your bra cup. If there is 5 cm (2") difference between your high bust and bust measurements, you should make the B cup version. If there is a 10 cm (4") difference, you should make the D cup version.
