Buy the Poppy Blouse sewing pattern from Pattern Scout. This raglan peasant-style blouse features three-quarter length bishop sleeves, a ruffle collar, and optional ruffle hem. It has an oversized silhouette, perfect for light, airy fabrics with a fluid drape.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Suggested fabrics: Lightweight fabrics with a fluid drape, such as rayon, viscose, crepe de chine, and silk chiffon. Lightweight fabrics with a less fluid drape, such as cotton lawn, cotton gauze, and tissue linen are also suitable and will create a fuller silhouette.
Fabric requirements: If using a directional print or pattern matching (with stripes, plaids, etc.) additional yardage may be required. If using a 45" (115 cm) wide fabric, the Bodice Ruffle will need to be cut in four pieces (instead of on the fold) and pieced together at the centre back and centre front for sizes 26-30.
Version A: 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 3 yd (1.8 - 2.7 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/2 - 2 1/4 yd (1.4 - 2 m).
Version B: 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/2 - 2 3/4 yd (1.4 - 2.5 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/4 - 2 yd (1.1 - 1.8 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 30 with B, C and D cups (approx. UK 6/8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Choose your size based on your HIGH BUST measurement. Then find your FULL BUST measurement in the size chart to determine which cup size (B, C or D) to sew.
This pattern is drafted with an average height of 5'9" (175 cm).
