Sew Over It Josephine Blouse

Buy the Josephine Blouse sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Inspired by effortless French style, the Josephine Blouse is a floaty wrap top with long cuffed sleeves. Add a beautiful scallop detail around the neckline, or keep the blouse simple and finish the edges neatly with binding. Josephine features a pretty side tie on the outside and an elastic loop and button on the inside to keep everything in place. The sleeve cuff opening is bound, and the cuffs are gently curved to mirror the scallops.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight woven fabrics with lots of drape. Think rayon challis, viscose, charmeuse, sandwashed silk and crepe de chine. If you are making Version 1, make sure your fabric presses well to hold the scallop shape.

Version 1: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.2 - 2.9 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.1 - 2.3 m.

Version 2: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.7 - 2.9 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.7 - 2.9 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

Version 1: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.8 - 3.8 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.6 - 2.9 m.

Version 2: 1.15 m wide fabric: 3.4 - 3.7 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.6 - 2.8 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6 – 20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18 – 30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 20 cm lightweight interfacing; 2 m seam tape interfacing; a small length of 3 mm elastic; three 12 mm buttons.
